Celebrating your 10th Wedding Anniversary? How to plan a Memorable event

Anniversaries are times for families and friends to come together and help the happy couple celebrate their memorable day. The event can be social, formal, and semi-formal; whatever theme you want your event to be, and then go for it. It is your anniversary, so you have the liberty to celebrate, however; you choose. Planning any event takes lots of skill, and know-how; so you must have pen, pad, and calendar to start planning.

The date is the first thing to decide. If your anniversary falls on a day mid week, then consider scheduling your party for the Saturday or Sunday for the celebration. If your date falls on a weekend, then, you have no problem. The most significant thing to do is start your plans months in advance, you do not want your event to clash with anything your friends of family perhaps planning for that period. Consider if your anniversary comes during Christmas time, then this maybe a problem. Like my birthday is the 18th, my anniversary is the 20th and Christmas is 5 days away. How do I plan?

The next thing is who goes on your list. Families are the first persons to start your list. For me, this is about 3/4s of my invitees as I have a large family. Couples invited as friends will make up your number. You may consider inviting some single friends who may not feel uncomfortable, but you know will certainly help you celebrate your special moment. If it is an intimate gathering, you know how to arrange for persons to meet and possibly start something unique.

Catered events of this kind allow you to spend time with your guests. You do not want to be busy in the kitchen when you could be waited on by professionals. You will need to book your event as early as 3 months before your date. This will give your caterers time to finalize your menu and be flexible if you have to make last minute changes. Your theme may come in at this time as you may want to consider the caterers using items to blend in with your theme. For decorations,  you may want to hire a professional, who is not too expensive but is able to produce your taste in the theme you want.

For the venue, if you have a big enough garden or indoor space, can be transformed, into the ideal place for your anniversary party and will certainly cut down on cost. A unique touch you may want to consider is you and your husband to exchange gifts at this event.
